چکیده
The hemoglobin concentration of 35 g/dl human red blood cells is close to the solubility threshold. Using microwave dielectric spectroscopy, we have assessed amount water associated with hydration shells methemoglobin as a function its in presence or absence ions. We estimated water–hemoglobin interactions interpret obtained data. Within range 5–10 methemoglobin, ions play an important role defining free-to-bound ratio competing recruit molecules for shell. At higher concentrations, major contributor recruitment Furthermore, bound does not change increased from 15 30 g/dl, remaining at level ∼20% total intracellular pool. theoretical evaluation free and corresponds experimental results shows that molecule binds about 1400 molecules. Molecular motions in chitosan studied by dielectric relaxation spectroscopy.
Neutralized and nonneutralized chitosan films subject to different thermal treatments were studied by dielectric relaxation spectroscopy from -130 to +150 degrees C in the frequency range between 20 Hz and 1 MHz. Two main relaxation processes, both arrhenian type, were detected: process I at temperatures below 0 degrees C with a mean activation energy of 49 +/- 1 kJ mol(-1), which has the chara...
متن کاملDielectric relaxation in dimethyl sulfoxide/water mixtures studied by microwave dielectric relaxation spectroscopy.
Dielectric spectra of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)/water mixtures, over the entire concentration range, have been measured using the transmission line method at frequencies from 45 MHz to 26 GHz and at temperatures of 298-318 K. The relaxation times of the mixtures show a maximum at an intermediate molar fraction of DMSO. The specific structure of mixtures in different concentration regions was de...

The nitrogen K-edge spectra of aqueous proline and diglycine solutions have been measured by total electron yield near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy at neutral and high pH. All observed spectral features have been assigned by comparison to the recently reported spectrum of aqueous glycine and calculated spectra of isolated amino acids and hydrated amino acid cluster...
متن کاملThe Potentiodynamic Behavior of Copper in NaCI Solutions Studied by Auger and Photoelectron Spectroscopy
The potentiodynamic behaviour of copper in brine solutions was studies. Auger and photo-electron spectroscopy were used together with electrochemical methods. It is demostrated that the passivation observed in potentiodynamic curves is due to a surface film formation on a copper electrode. It is concluded that this film must be copper (I) chloride in nature. Effect of different factors on poten...
